Speed's Test on Shoulder Examination

With the arm straight out (elbow fully extended) at 90 degrees of shoulder flexion, externally rotated at the shoulder (arm supinated). Apply downward manual resistance on patient's arm. The test is positive if the patient complains of pain in the biceps tendon groove area.

This indicated bicipital tendinitis or superior labral tear.
