Low FODMAP Diet Foods 

Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols (to Avoid).  
These short-chain carbohydrates and sugar alcohols are poorly absorbed, leading to fermentation by gut bacteria, which can cause digestive symptoms like bloating, gas, and abdominal pain in patients with conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). 

F - Fermentable
O - Oligosaccharides
	Fructans: wheat (bread, pasta), rye, onions, garlic, leeks, artichokes, chicory root, asparagus, beets, inulin. 
	Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS): Legumes, soybeans, cashews, pistachios
D - Disaccharides - Lactose (Dairy): milk, yogurts, ice cream, soft cheeses
M - Monosaccharides - "Free fructose" (in excess of glucose): apples, pears, mangoes, cherries, watermelon, asparagus, sugar snap peas, honey, agave, high-fructose corn syrup
A - And
P - Polyols
	Sweeteners: xylitol, maltitol, etc. 
	Sorbitol: stone fruits(peaches, plums, cherries etc), avocados, apples and pears
	Mannitol: mushrooms, cauliflower, watermelon, celery, snow peas.
