Sarcoid in the Thyroid - Pathology

Not all thyroid granulomas are subacute thyroiditis- this is sarcoidosis! Can distinguish because sarcoid granulomas have an interstitial rather than folliculocentric distribution with extrathyroidal involvement such as parathyroid and central neck.
