Double Orifice Mitral Valve in a young M w/ chest pain. Rare congenital anomaly of subvalvular mitral apparatus consisting of accessory fibrous bridge, which partly/completely divides the mitral valve into 2 orifices (size of each orifice is balanced in ~15%) Double Orifice Mitral Valve can result in regurgitation or stenosis (not the case here). Rarely occurs in isolation (as in this case); more commonly associated w/ AVSD, Ao coarctation, bicuspid AV, sinus venosus ASD, PDA, other congenital conditions.
