Diagnosis and Management of Diffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage (DAH)
Blood escaping through the capillary wall into the alveoli, due to injury, inflammation or hypertension of arterioles, venules, or alveolar septal capillaries
Positive Diagnosis of DAH:
• DAH triad: lung opacities, hemoptysis, anemia
• Chest CT scan: diffuse ground-glass opacities, non localized alveolar infiltrates, no pleural effusion nor cardiomegaly
• Bronchoscopy + BAL
