Liver Flukes on ERCP Here are liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica) extracted from the bile duct during ERCP in a 20F with cholangitis. Watch as they sluggishly move. Their cysts hatch in the duodenum, burrow through the lining of the intestine and into the peritoneal cavity. They then migrate through the intestines and liver, and into the bile ducts. Inside the bile ducts, they develop into an adult fluke by Dr. Sary Ibrahim @DrSary2011 via Dr. Keith Siau @drkeithsiau #Liver #Flukes #ERCP #Fasciola #hepatica #parasites #clinical #EGD #ERCP #gastroenterology #endoscopy

Choledochodudodenal Fistula on Endoscopy Patient admitted with cholangitis, dilated CHD and IHBDs, remote cholecystectomy. I found this in the bulb, weeping bile! This was a bile duct injury from surgical clips (lap chole 5y ago) resulting in partial CBD obstruction with spontaneous choledochoduodenal fistula. The patient cholangitis and stack of stones in hilum and IHBDs. - Andy Tau, MD @DrBloodandGuts #Choledochodudodenal #Fistula #Endoscopy #EGD #gastroenterology #clinical
