Hair Apposition Technique (HAT) for Scalp Lacerations Look how well the hair tie brings together these wound edges! Follow with a dermabond on the tie. My tips for success: 1. Prep parents for possible staples in case HAT doesn't work & bring them with you 2. Hair must be at least 2 inches long 3. Clean surrounding hair during wound irrigation and thoroughly dry with a towel (dermabond doesn't adhere to wet hair) ALIEM has a great article with more details: https://www.aliem.com/trick-of-trade-hair-apposition/ #Hair #Apposition #Technique #HAT #Scalp #Lacerations #clinical #video

A schema of the pathophysiology of the inborn errors of metabolism, excluding complex storage diseases. Helps explain the connections and pathophysiology behind different presentations in acute metabolic emergencies.
