Jugular venous pressure (JVP) reflects the pressure in the right atrium (central venous pressure). It is measured in cm above the sternal notch. Careful examination of the neck veins on physical examination can reveal various pathologies beyond just heart failure - Tricuspid Regurgitation, Pericarditis, and much more.
